For Lawyers

Why Should You Contribute?

We understand that many lawyers have pro bono aspirations but are often conflicted by their often unpredictable, and sometimes inflexible work commitments. As a result, some find it difficult to commit to attending community legal clinics or participating in other pro bono schemes.

With this site, you can contribute by volunteering to answer simple legal questions and to provide members of the public with general legal information. Much of the information sought will be at your fingertips, and can be provided at your convenience, from the comfort of your home or office, whenever you have a few minutes to spare.

Our site includes a comprehensive legal disclaimer that makes it clear that the provision of general legal information on the site does not constitute legal advice, nor does it create an attorney-client relationship.

How Can You Contribute?

If you join our panel of contributors, your name and law firm name will be listed on our site, and questions from members of the public will be assigned to you according to your respective areas of expertise.

For example, if you list criminal law as an area of expertise, a question that asks "What is the penalty for consuming ecstasy in Singapore?" will potentially be assigned to you. You can volunteer a short response (limited to 150 words), which will be published after review by our moderators. You will have the option of attributing the response to yourself or your firm. This will allow you to contribute to the community by sharing general information in your area of expertise.

If this interests you, please register and we will get in touch.

Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you.

Yours Sincerely,

LegalHelp Team
