Generally, if the debt was provable in the bankruptcy but the creditor did not lodge a proof of debt, the discharge would provide an answer and you would no longer be liable. However, there are various exceptions such as if the creditor is the Government, if the debt arises out of fraud, breach of trust, negligence, nuisance, or damages from personal injuries.
