Before April 2014, is one week of employment considered as Part-Time Employees under the act? If not, what is the implied minimum length of service required to be considered as Part-Time Employees?

It is not clear what Act you are referring to. Under the Employment Act, you are considered an employee regardless of your length of service, although you are only entitled to certain statutory protections if you work a minimum of 3 months.

  • Understand there are three types of contract of service: Full-Time, Part-Time, Casual. Full-Time is quite clear. However, is there a minimum length of service required to differentiate between Part-Time and Casual Employment under the Employment Act before April 2014? turboflash 12/09/2016
