A few of my friends work at a cafe and they've been laid off with only 15 days notice. The Cafe is closing down. What recourse do they have?

If the Café is closing down, then they are likely to have little recourse as the Café may not have any real assets to repay them. This is on the assumption that the Café is held and operated by a company (as opposed to a sole proprietor) as the shareholder/directors are unlikely to be liable in such a situation.
