In the absence of a will, distribution of your estate will be determined by Singapore’s rules on intestate succession (the Intestate Succession Act). A deceased's estate will be divided in equal portions among the deceased's children, if the deceased does not have a spouse. In your case, your estate will go to your son, assuming you do not remarry and assuming you are survived by only the one mentioned son. Nevertheless, it is always recommended that you make a will to avoid any unforeseen developments that may defeat your intentions.
